§45 前置詞＋関係代名詞

関係代名詞が前置詞の目的語になっている場合

the village ←(which he was born in)

the village ←(in which he was born)

前置詞＋関係代名詞が形容詞句で前の名詞を修飾している場合、(名詞＋前置詞＋関係代名詞)を形容詞節の先頭に出せる

a mountain ← 説明The top of the mountain is covered with snow. 

a mountain ←(of which the top is covered with snow)

a mountain ←(the top of which is covered with snow)

前置詞＋関係代名詞によって修飾される名詞が前置詞の目的語の場合、(前置詞＋名詞＋前置詞＋関係代名詞)をまとめて前に出せる

a town ←説明In the middle of the town is a tall tower. 

a town ←(in the middle of which is a tall tower)
